Welcome to the Dish Community Library, we are a small rural library located in the Town of Dish, Texas housed inside Dish Town Hall. Life in Dish is simple, and we try to compliment that lifestyle by offering the conveniences of larger libraries with small town comfort. Dish Community library is available to residents and people that live outside of Dish. The Library's first material collection began by generous donations from local residents and from library's in Justin, Krum, Ponder, Bedford and North Richland Hills. Crosstex, a natural-gas company donated $2,500 to the Town of Dish for the library to use at the January 9th town council meeting. This donation helped pay for two new Dell computer stations. Partnership Wireless provides the library and town hall with free wireless internet access.
Mission Statement:
Check our Periods:
The Dish Community Library appreciates the dedication and assistance volunteers from the community bring to the library. Everyone in and around the Town of Dish will benefit as the library grows and offers more and more resources to the town. In addition to staffing the library, there are many ways a volunteer can contribute to the growth of the library. Currently the library is especially in need of help sorting, preparing and cataloging donated books for addition to the library. The Dish Community Library is a vital part of this community and we hope you can offer your time.
The Dish Community Library is always looking for book and material donations. We encourage donations of all kinds except textbooks. If can not find a home for your donation in our collection, the materials may be passed on to another library or sold in our book-sale to raise money for us to buy new materials for the collection.
